Registration Changes

Before February 1st comes around, we’d like to let you know some of the changes in store when registering for a class in 2016. We’ll be able to post a preview of our 2016 classes through this newsletter soon.

Registration Week

This year, Sievers will have a Registration Week, starting on Monday, February 1st and ending at 4:00 pm Central Time, Monday, February 8th.

Lottery

Classes that receive more registrations during the first week of online registration than have space available, will be filled by lottery. Students who have sent in a registration for an overfull class, will have their names drawn from a basket and be added to the class in that order. Once the maximum enrollment is met, the remaining students’ names will go onto a waiting list for the class. This is the fairest way we can handle perennially popular classes.

To be sure you will be included in a class lottery, your registration MUST be received by the Lottery Deadline of 4:00 p.m. Central Time, Monday, February 8th. All registrations received during that week (Feb. 1-8) will be treated equally, regardless of when they arrive.

As usual, you will receive two notices of your registration: an auto-confirmation from our website to let you know your online registration went through and a personal confirmation from our office.

Fees

In 2016, the class fees are payable in full. Housing fees (which remain the same at $50 per night) can be paid in full at registration or paid one month before class.

2-Day Classes. The fee for a 2-Day Class is $240, payable in full when you register.

3-Day Classes. The fee for a 3-Day Class is $330, payable in full when you register.

4-Day Classes. The fee for a 4-Day Class is $400, payable in full when you register.

5-Day Classes. The fee for a 5-Day Class is $450, payable in full when you register.

7-Day Classes. The fee for a 7-Day Class is $570, payable in full when you register.

Open Studio Session. The fee for the Open Studio is $200, payable in full when you register.

Housing Fees. May be paid in full when you register, or paid in full one month before your class.

Registration Reminders

No need to stay awake or set an alarm for midnight on February 1st! Again, all the registrations received between February 1 and 4:00 p.m. Central Time on February 8 will be treated equally.

When registering online, clicking on the class title or on the button under each individual class photo should take you to a larger description of the class where you can sign up for housing, if applicable.

Your credit or debit card will be charged only after we confirm your class and housing. We will also let you know if your class is one that qualifies as a lottery class. Because of Registration Week, you can expect to receive your complete class and housing confirmation on or after February 9.

Sievers Scholarships are available towards class fees. Please contact us for information. The deadline for applications is April 1.
