How do we achieve balance in a quilt? In this year’s class we will explore several different elements/concepts on how to do just that; accomplish a visually balanced design, through exercises and lectures. In addition, you’ll bring a project(s) to class that you may need assistant with, at whatever stage it is in. Ellen will help you determine your next steps, with ideas and by teaching you the skills needed to move it to completion. You are welcome to work by hand or by machine. If the latter, a sewing machine in good working order is required.
Ellen Graf ‘found’ quilting in 1992. Since then, her quilts have been featured in magazines and won awards. She had great fun going online as a featured guest on Mary Fons’ show, Quilty. Ellen is active in organizing the Washington Island community to make quilts for the Quilts Of Valor program. Her focus is to encourage individual creativity and technique, empowering students to say “I can do it,” while having fun along the way.No tags for this post.
