Immerse yourself in the ancient art and intricacies of ‘cloudpainting.’ Learn how to prepare papers and fabric for marbling in a range of traditional and contemporary techniques and patterns, using acrylic paints, a carrageenan bath and a variety of tools (comb, brush, rake, stylus). After the basics, you’ll learn classic patterns such as the French Curl, Spanish Wave, Peacock, NonPareil, Stone Marble, and Turkish Ebru figural marbling. There will be ample time to experiment and create your own designs on both paper and fabric.
