This will be a week to delve into a study of fine, medium, longwool, double-coated, and down sheep breeds. Each day we will focus on a different category of wools, giving you the opportunity to experience preparing the fibers for woolen and worsted yarns, spinning to take advantage of the breed qualities and knitting, crocheting or pin-weaving samples (Bring your own needles, crochet hooks, pin loom). Ashford, Louet, Schacht and Kromski wheels and related equipment will be available for your use, or bring your own.
