Description
Knitting with two colors can be a challenge, even for the seasoned knitter. While understanding how color works is critical, it is also important to recognize that different stitches and styles can affect those color interactions. This class will discuss color theory, as well as introduce or refresh skills in three common colorwork knitting stitches: stranded, mosaic/slip-stitch and brioche. By the end of class, students will have multiple samples, many recommendations and a great foundation for diving into color in their knitting.
Shawn Kathleen Simmons is a professor of Graphic Design in the Milwaukee area, where she also teaches classes in knitting, book art and origami. Shawn has been a knitter for more than 30 years and specializes in brioche, mosaic and cable knitting, but also loves to crochet, spin and weave.
