Description
Tap into your creativity and design knitwear of your choosing, with Mary’s assistance. Starting with a pattern or sketch, customize it by adding or subtracting features, change the yarn and gauge, or . . . ? This class is also open to knitters who want to solve current knitting problems.
Mary Germain has knit for most of her life and taught it for 30+ years. As owner of The Wool Works yarn shop in Milwaukee from 1985-96, Mary learned about Latvian knitting from a dear customer, Irma Mežaraups Ciganovich. This developed into a focus on Latvian and ultimately Baltic knitting, and has included publishing knitting patterns in PieceWork magazine. Mary has traveled to Latvia and Estonia many times to study local knitting techniques. www.marygtheknitter.blogspot.com
