If you love playing with fabrics, this is your playground! Using Susan’s original artwork, ‘Fernwood’ as your inspiration, you’ll learn her raw-edge fabric collage technique to create your own 16″ x 20″ landscape, ready for framing or quilting when you return home. Fabric and scissors will be your canvas and paintbrush. No sewing machine or experience required—just a desire to learn something new.
Susan Hoffmann began to explore fiber arts at Sievers in 2000, finding her passion in Natalie Sewell’s 2008 Landscape Quilting class. She loved ‘painting’ with fabric and deciding her piece looked more like a watercolor painting than a quilt, she decided to frame it. Since, she’s continued to hone her technique in her Door County studio, creating landscapes, portraits and still life. Susan’s unique, award-winning art is owned by patrons across the U. S., available at Fine Line Designs Gallery in Ephraim, WI, and featured in the book, “Color Passions: The Best of Mixed Media.”
