“If once you have slept on an island, you’ll never be quite the same;…you’ll see blue water and wheeling gulls wherever your feet may go.”
“Oh! you won’t know why and you can’t say how
Such a change upon you came,
But once you have slept on an island,
You’ll never be quite the same.” Rachel Field
We can attest to that!
What’s not to love (except that tiny bit of snow peeking out in the corner)!
Right!
I can’t identify that bird, but I’d like to know what it is because I have 3 of them sitting in front of my house on Kangaroo Lake!
Someone thought it’s a Bonaparte Gull. The bird book had so many close options, I couldn’t tell one from the other!
Thanks Carolyn,
Spring may be shorter thIs year, but the awakening is always breathtaking ! As is Rachel Fields thoughts about the impact of living on an island. I’m ready for this season.
So are we!
Oh, Carolyn, your photos get better and better. Really stunning. Thank you SO much. I’m counting the weeks until I can sit in the studio and see you all!
with much love,
Linda Clum
Thank you, Linda. We’ll be so glad to see you and know that it will be another wonderful week!
So happy to see that Spring has arrived!
Daffodils are just opening, too!
Such lovely shots. I want to be there.
Thanks, Annie! We’re excited to have you here twice this summer. Here’s hoping these e-Island views hold you until then…
Island views are always appreciated. However, it reminds me of how disappointed I am that my schedule this year does not allow time for a class or open studio. Sievers and Washington Island will definitely be missed.
Oh, I’m sorry to hear that Teresa. We always look forward to having you here along with Pat and Maurine. Next year??
ALWAYS love your pictures Carolyn. Hope my computer keeps on being “nice” so I can see them
Blessings
Eileen
Me too! We will see you very soon. Take care, Carolyn
Thanks for the pictures. It is heartwarming to see the pictures and hear the song in my heart. I miss you all and hope you have the best summer ever!
Thank you, Rodna. It promises to be a great year! We will miss seeing you, but look forward to your next visit.
