June is off to a great start for many reasons. First and foremost, the studios will be alive all month with creative people who quilt, weave, dye, stitch and make baskets.
The Open Quilt Studio started it all off with ten quilters working on a variety of projects and making time to re-connect with each other, Sievers and Washington Island.
Also, the start of June brought a change in our practices to more closely follow the current CDC guidelines as they pertain to our classes and to the shop. We are now following their wording which states: “Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing masks or physical distancing.” Therefore, if you are fully vaccinated, you will not need to wear a mask in the studio or shop. If you are not fully vaccinated, we recommend that you follow safety precautions. Also, if you wish to wear a mask by choice, please do so. In addition, we want to share that all Sievers office and shop staff are fully vaccinated.
Last but not least, the beginning of June is the time to see so many special flowers and special places bringing out their best.
If the first few days of June are this wonderful, we can’t imagine how amazing the rest of this summer and fall will be!

Hi Mary, August will be here before we know it! I know that little purple flower as a Gaywing. See you soon!
