Description
In this class, investigate and create several different structures, each of which will introduce new skills which can apply to many other boxes. Begin with the basics: measuring and cutting bookboard, paper selection (Japanese Chiyogami, Nepalese Lokta and others), box construction, gluing and embellishing. Start with a Treasure Box, then make a Lotus Box using a cut-and-bend French technique, and depending on time, complete a desk set consisting of a small, lidded box, pencil holder and tissue box.
