To be honest, this photo was taken at the end of October, although of all the Island roads, this spot along Detroit Harbor Road looking towards the west is probably still one of the best for remaining color. As you can see, the traffic patterns have changed a bit, with turkeys finding even this usually busy road a little quieter now.
Other birds are enjoying Island waters on their migration. Whether at the Jackson Harbor Ridges or at Little Lake, geese and ducks are taking advantage of these warm November days and resting for a spell.
