  • Dates: Oct. 4-6 (2 pm Fri – 11 am Sun)
  • Class Fee: $290
  • Materials fee of $100 for prepared willow, assembly hardware, use of specialized tools and handouts.
  • Level: Beginner (Hand strength is needed, as well as ability to bend and kneel.  Experience with hammer and drill will be helpful.)

Description

Learn the age-old craft of willow furniture design and construction techniques, as you make this classic rustic chair.  Using basic tools, each student will build their own chair, with instructor assistance as needed.  Made entirely with willow, your chair will be approximately 40″ high, 32″ wide and 30″ deep.

 

John Rezachek learned the art of willow furniture at Sievers in a 2005 class taught by Ken and Michelle Workowski and has enjoyed making it ever since.  Newly retired, he now has time to focus on creating more.   John credits the Workowskis with being a big influence on him and looks forward to passing this wonderful craft on to others.
