Two Classes, Too Fast
Our two classes this week are going by way too fast! The willow basket makers finished a number of small baskets in just two days with the help of Jacki Bedworth. Quite an array of shapes and sizes and colors! In Lorrie Grainger Abdo’s Paste Painting and Paper Mosaics class, the first days were spent painting and now the students are assembling their papers into mosaics and applying them to frames, trays, plaques and more. With all the colors and patterns, you can’t go wrong! How much fun can you have in a few days? There’ll be more in the days ahead as we’re lucky to continue with Lorrie and Jacki, both doing workshops for the […]
A Look at the 2014 Schedule of Classes
On Saturday, February 1st, registration will open! All of the class descriptions and complete information will be on our website, www.sieversschool.com. We want to thank Stephanie Lewis Robertson for allowing us to photograph her piece in progress, “Willow Patch”, that she was working on during her Making Your Mark: Fabric Printing and Dyeing class last August. This will also be the cover for our full brochure, mailed out at the end of February. In the meantime, here’s a look at some of the classes we’ll be offering in 2014 Sievers Class Schedule List 2014 Handwoven Bags and Totes with Connie Westbrook June 3 – 8 Patchwork Birch Bark Basket with Karen Tembreull June 12 – 15 Machine Quilting with Julie Lambert June 26 […]

You’ll note a difference in the amount of leaves on the trees this year! No doubt, your spring season is a little behind schedule, too. We’re starting today with Navajo Rug Weaving taught by Betty Glynn Carlson and at the same time, the Washington Island Art Association is renting the Walter Studio for a class in Beginning Oil Painting followed by their Open Studio week. Continuing on in May and through June at Sievers will be Nuno Felting […]
